Community spirit reaches a peak in Hussar during the annual Summer Daze rodeo, held the third weekend in June. Recreation vehicles circle the grounds for a close up view of the exciting events. Hussar’s claim to fame is that it is one of the few small communities with a recognised flag. Hussar began as a German-Canadian Farming community. Many in this group of settlers were once German officers, called Hussars.
Current visitor services in this community include a small campground, general store and a garage for fuel and service.
