The only Canadian village to have been declared a National Historic Site, Stirling has a unique history. The village of 900 is one of the best-preserved examples of early 20th century Latter-day Saint (Mormon) settlement patterns in Southern Alberta, located off of highway 4, just south of Lethbridge.
If you like to fish, boat, water ski or swim, Ridge Reservoir is the place to stop for pure fun and enjoyment. Settler Days in July is also an event that is great family fun. A grand parade and equestrian events are only part of the celebrations, fun is always had by all, so be sure to take it in. The other local attractions such as the Galt Historic Railway Park, Michelsen House, pool, reunion centre and campground give you many opportunities to enjoy a day in Stirling.
